Off the Record Reviews RØNIN's New Single Butterflies (Ready To Go)

RØNIN is an alt hip-hop singer/songwriter and musician from Australia, who has exploded onto the scene, with his previous tracks $HOOK and ALL GIRLS ARE THE SAME doing incredibly well, with both tracks reaching several million plays on Spotify. It’s clear that this artist is going places, and today I’ll be reviewing his new track ‘Butterflies (Ready To Go)’ which was released on October 28th 2022.

‘Butterflies (Ready To Go)’ opens with slowly building, synth driven tones, and RØNIN’s vocals merge into the melody, initially distorted and reverberated, before they break through in earnest, and the melody shifts to a percussive and rhythm heavy format, with a much quicker and intense tempo. I hadn’t heard of RØNIN prior to one of his songs being submitted for review, but I’m glad I got the chance to check out his music. It’s catchy and well composed, it’s vibrant and you really get caught up in it. I only touched on his vocals really. I like his voice, it’s strong and well defined, and works well within the confines of the track, both the synth backed parts and the more natural vocals. Overall, I really liked this track, and I look forward to more from the artist in the future.

So that’s what I thought of RØNIN’s single ‘Butterflies (Ready To Go)’ and if you want to check that out for yourself then head on over to Spotify. While you’re at it, make sure and show your support for the artist, and keep up to date with their latest goings on, by following them on Facebook, Twitterand Instagram.
